I say thee "Word!"  To be fair, the group's mythic status inevitably makes
'em overrated, if only because they didn't actually cure cancer, create a
lasting world peace and keep Quake cereal on the market; a true Messiah woulda done
all of the above (especially regarding Quake cereal), but The Beatles were
just a rock 'n' roll band, and had to settle for making some of the greatest
records I've ever heard.  And they still weren't all things to all people, as I've
certainly known folks who didn't care for them at all.  I'd also say that The
Beatles were simultaneously the most underrated band ever, if only because
it's so easy to take their accomplishments for granted.

(And I agree 100 % regarding Sgt. Pepper; gimme Help!, Hard Day's Night,
Revolver and Rubber Soul any day.)
