I'm in the same boat. I didn't know "boo" about Slade until I heard
their version of "Cum on Feel the Noize."
The nice thing was that Slade enjoyed something of a vogue after
that. Anyone else besides me remember their goofily fun single "Run
Run Away," with its bagpipe guitars and entirely too silly video?
QR frequently played the Harrisburg, Pa., area where I live. Their
last gig was at a bar not far from where my band practices. It was a
long way from the arenas, but a gig's a gig, I guess.
RIP, Mr. DuBrow.
