Even if I usually disagree with large chunks of these lists I'm often
turned on to something new. Speaking of new stuff, I went on a buying
spree the other night after re-reading that 'Best Albums You've Never
Heard' article somebody posted here. I ordered...
- Jason Falkner: Can You Still Feel?
- Swirl 360: Ask Anybody (received and really dug)
- The Sighs: What Goes On
- Candyskins: Space I'm In
- Candyskins: Fun? (wasn't on the list but I had a vinyl copy ages
ago and really loved it, especially "Wembley")
- Heap: On the Cheap
- The Push Stars: Opening Time
Thanks to the recent Midnight Oil chatter here I also grabbed copies
of "10 to 1" and "Red Sails in the Sunset", both of which I have on
vinyl but not CD.
I'm also trying to savor and not plow through my copy of 'All Over
But the Shouting: An Oral History of The Replacements'. I wrote about
my encounters with the band over at my blog, if anybody cares: http://
