Absolutely great band. I thought 'Red Sails in the Sunset' was their  
last really great album, although 'Diesel and Dust' has some great  
tunes, too.

First caught them when '10...1' came out and they appeared on Alan  
Thicke's late night talk show(!). Other guests that night where the  
LA Rams cheerleaders (that tells you how long ago this was) and when  
they did the song 'Read About It' they had covered the stage with  
crumpled newspaper. Garrett – who is at least 6'5", skinny and bald –  
is thrashing about the stage singing and at some point starts  
lighting pieces of the paper on fire. At one point a stage hand has  
to come running on stage because the newspaper is catching fire...
