I would avoid the two post-Curt Smith albums "Elemental" and "Raoul And The
King Of Spain", but invest wholeheardedly in the 2004 comeback record
"Everybody Loves A Happy Ending"....but get the BRITISH version on Gut
Records distributed by Pinnacle which features the bonus tracks "Out Of
Control" and "Pullin' A Cloud" (the greatest solo McCartney song he never
wrote...it could have been off 'Ram'). The whole album is filled with
"Sowing The Seeds Of Love" Beatle type pastiches with ample nods to Bowie,
psychedelia and just plain great power pop. No synths...just guitar and
orchestral driven hook-filled toe-tappers.
