Outside the typecast Auditeers bandwidth, but...I drove to Buffalo last
night to see Zappa Plays Zappa, and if we were having that discussion about
attitude versus chops this week I could argue that having both isn't a bad
thing either. Amazing technical proficiency and precision mixed with an
incredibly warm and fun show. My neck hurts from doing the White Boy
Rhythmic Nod and my face hurts from smiling. Special kudos to Ray White, who
still can sing the bejeezus out of anything!
I was fortunate enough to have seen Frank play about a dozen times and those
are cherished memories. Last night certainly induced flashback moments but
was great on its own merits. Highly recommended.
