Just got a sneak peek (hear) at the new Marah album ANGELS OF DESTRUCTION.
Some may know I'm an unabashed fan, especially of their live shows.
First spin, this morning. Coffee. Tired. Expecting Valhalla.
Getting...nothing grabbing me and slapping me around. Bad mood. Tense. Not
right.
Six hours of cleaning out the garage, the yard, trying to milk the last day
of Daylight Savings. Finally, sore back, filthy, back inside. Shower. Glass
of wine. sit. Down. Now.
Second spin.
Night and day. Warm, rocking, lyrical, old school, 40s chic, love song,
sound of bottle opening, rockers, swing, horns, accordian, hidden tracks
about being arrested in hotel lobbies...in short, another wonderful,
ear-worming, unique offering from this amazing. amazing band. The Year of
Yep Roc continues.
And Hamell On Trial is finally putting out a DVD.
And two Robert Vaughn encounters on the same day.
And it's too dark to work outside anymore.
Life is good.
