That was a memorable Fresh Air appearance.  He was so warm and
endearing, and the song he did was fantastic.  He was kind of
forgotten by the public and semi-screwed by recond companies, and he
was a bus driver for many years in between, but he was amazingly
upbeat, not bitter, and optimistic about the future during the
interview.  When he died just a few months later, Terry Gross
announced it on the air, and she broke down a little as she did.  So
did I.

Like Donnie, this is one album I keep listening to over time.
