Arthur asked:
Any other Rilo Kiley fans out there? Their CD "Under The Blacklight" is tied for my favorite (and most listened to) CD of the year. I got to see them this weekend at The Grove in Anaheim with Grand Ole Party and The Bird And The Bee. All 3 were amazing. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
Michael replies:
I've enjoyed all of their albums as well as the Jenny Lewis and The Watson Twins release. I really like the new one. I love their previous album but the new one has some really fun songs on. I'm not sure why last month's Spin had them on the cover calling them the new Fleetwood Mac but I still like the band. My favorite song on "Under The Blacklight" is "Smoke Detector". Very sixties guitar.
I was supposed to be in New York to catch The Raspberries this past weekend but things didn't pan out so I found myself over the weekend at the last minute attending a Rilo Kiley concert too along with The Bird And The Bee just like Arthur at The Joint in Las Vegas instead of Los Angeles. It must have been the show the night before Arthur saw them in LA. It was a real pleasure seeing so many people in the audience singing along with just about every song. The power of the net kicks radio's butt again.

* Still bummed that I didn't make it to NYC for the Berries. Anyone else catch them this past weekend? Sherman? I know that you had tickets.
