Hey there.
I'm a relatively new subscriber, and was rude enough to make a couple
previous comments without introducing myself. I've been listening to
rock'n'roll since the mid-50's, but as a teenager of the 60's, those
were really my formative years (as the music was getting smarter, so was
I). Did the record store/music critic thing for 10 years ending in 1983.
Having then dropped out of keeping up on pop for awhile, I've spent the
last ten years or so slowly peeling the layers of how one keeps track of
what's happening in folk/brit/jangle/power/country/etc...rock these
days...and I finally "washed up" on your shores a couple months ago.
Not the most adept at knowing the intricacies of grabbing downloads,
etc., but am slowly learning.
All this as preamble to seconding (or thirding) the motion on Blue
Rodeo. I don't know if anybody has mentioned "C'Mon" (the great single
off their new album), but it's one of Jim Cuddy's all-time greats, as
far as I'm concerned. Find the single and the video at their

In the first couple months of belonging, I've gotten turned on to a
bunch of stuff, so thank you all for your passion!
