At first listen I was worried about some worse than Air Supply-like band.
Then I heard "Solid State Brain" from his 1978 "Looking Over My SHoulder". lp and thought: "I found the missing link between the Beatles, Pilot, and Klaatu!"
Then I heard "Dansette". This is on par with Queen and Jellyfish regarding harmonies.
Thanks to this cat with a blog from the UK I've heard many things that were lost in the shuffle of popdom.

Check out the reconstructions of UK and USA versions of many K-Tel albums. Some of you have mentioned K-Tel recently so just look through his archives. It's probably there.
