...just became my #1 album of the year - hell, the past few years. Not a return to his rootsier stuff, exactly, but it's as if he's internalized all the more experimental, jazzy and electronics of the past few records, plus all of the deep soul from his recent production work and boiled it all down to genre-free pure American Song.
Not the joyful blast of the new Myracle Brah of course ;-), but a genuinely great album.
Go get it!
