I've read sections of the book, which is an incredibly moving tribute to
Sheffield's late wife, who died a few years back. The two of them spent
their relationship making mix tapes for each other, and Sheffield uses them
as signposts for their relationship.
In lesser hands, it might have been an incredibly hackneyed premise, but he
carries it off with style and sensitivity. His love for his wife really
shines through.

Hey!
I've read this book and I must admit that it was extremely good. The only
part that I didn't dig was that I think he (oe was it she) had supposedly gone
to Yale in the story which kind of tarnished the characterization for me a
bit. It's a personal thing.
