I know the book, though I don't have it.
I'd recommend it. Sheffield is a regular Rolling Stone contributor.
On the other note: Yes. I've had trouble with the downloader. I finally circumvented the problem by changing my default browser, and then reinstalling the software, but that only worked once...I too have a message into customer support.

Speaking of which, is anyone else having problems with the new software?
I've downloaded it to TWO computers that both use Windows XP, and the
program crashes on both. Since installed I have been unable to download at
all. I've got a query into eMusic customer service but no word yet. I was
wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem.
Unfortunately eMusic will FORCE you to download the new software the next
time you use the service and it wipes out the previous manager, of course.
It's like they shoot themselves in one foot and cut off the other for good
measure.
