Well, no webcast again this week-at this point, we're pretty sure that
our server has been hijacked by supercriminals from Gotham City. (And not
even by Batman's A-List badguys, like The Joker or Two-Face, but more likely by
also-rans like The Monarch Of Menace, Getaway Genius and The Spark-Spangled
See-Through Man. Oh, and by The Bouncer, whose schtick had nothing to do with
ejecting unruly patrons, but had the terrifying ability to Bounce.
Y'know...real high.) Nonetheless, we hope the forces of law and order will prevail,
and we'll be able to resume webcasting in short order.
Meanwhile, we have one additional incentive to offer for kind donors in
our Save Syracuse Community Radio fundraiser. Children's author Danny
Adlerman is giving us a supply of his kids album, ONE SIZE FITS ALL, as a reward to
anyone who donates at least $20. Even if you don't specifically care about
records for kids, rockin' pop fans oughtta note that Danny was helped on this
record by Jim Babjak of THE SMITHEREENS and Kurt Reil of THE GRIP WEEDS; it's
probably just dawned on a few of you that Babjak, Adlerman and Reil are
collectively THE BAR, the supercool pop combo that recorded the great track "Katie's
Shoes" for our own most recent Dana & Carl compilation CD, THIS IS ROCK 'N'
ROLL RADIO, VOLUME 2, and now you've GOTTA have Adlerman's disc.
So give already! We have a limited quantity of Danny Adlerman's ONE
SIZE FITS ALL to give away, so it's most definitely first come, first served.
The previously-announced incentives remain in effect, so e-mail me with
questions. Your TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION should be made out to SYRACUSE COMMMUNITY
