They were always one of those bands that people loved disproportionally
to what they put on record.  It must have been one of those UK working
class things that an American like me will never understand.   I think the
World War III albums are much more interesting.

That said, the first two Alex Harvey Band albums are pretty good examples
of strightforward 70s rock, especially the rather twisted second one (NEXT.)
