i bought a book in antwerpen, belgium a couple of months ago and it's
called "a long strange trip: the inside history of the grateful dead".
having never been interested in their music (i don't know why but it's
one of those "big" things everyone misses in one way or another, you
know, like that famous movie masterpiece you never saw or that monster
record your friends always tell you about but you still don't want to
know about it...) i have been always fascinated by their image, the
people, the period, the places.
and their musical adventure is actually a very pleasant read.
if i ever would like to overcome this lack (is it a lack?) of mine,
where do i have to start (considering the obvious pop inclinations i
share with you all posting to this list). a full album? a compilation
album? one song in particular? or should i better leave it unexplored?
any help appreciated.

giuseppe.
