Um, No I am not saying that all. Nor did I say or intend to imply
that the Commando's are better then The Raspberries. I didn't even
say I didn't like The Raspberries, because I do. A great deal in
fact.

All I was commenting on is you were critical of the Commados sounding
dated and being stuck in an era. And then you contrasted them with
The Raspberries as an example of a band sounding as fresh as ever
(And for what it's worth, it's not a big deal to me...it's just fine
with me that you think that). I just think that they both are a
product of their time and are dated in a way. Each cleary sounds and
looks to be from another era. To me that's NOT a bad thing at all. It
is what it is. I just didn't get knocking one for this fact and then
contrasting and applauding the other as being timeless.
I mean, if you asked the average college student if The Raspberries
sounded "fresh" they would say likely say..."you're kidding right"?
Again, I'm not knocking them or your love of them. Music sure can be
timeless in some ways when it subjectively "speaks to us" but I think
it still clearly comes from another era and is bound by it's own
place in time too. And thats ok whether it's the Commandos or The
Raspberries. Thats all I was saying...
