I saw them live at The Fox in Boulder last night, and ... just, damn. I
knew they were one of the two or three best of the Nu Wave, but I had no
idea HOW good. Seriously.

I have a post up at S&R that's bound to get me accused of hyperbole, but
I'm convinced that this band can eventually be that damned good. I may
be wrong, but there are good reasons to entertain the question...

/"...it's a lonesome thing to be passing small towns with the lights
shining sideways when the night is down, or going in strange places with
a dog nosing before you and a dog nosing behind, or drawn to the cities
where you'd hear a voice kissing and talking deep love in every shadow
of the ditch, and you passing on with an empty, hungry stomach failing
from your heart." /
