Raspberries music sounds as fresh and timeless today as it did back in
'72-'74 when it was on the radio. The Raspberries Concert at the House of Blues in
Chicago - Jan 15, 2005 was the Best on their 10 city tour. So sez Eric Carmen
(from his website). I saw Raspberries in Chicago. The electricity of the
music, the band and the crowd just fed off each other. The band "nailed" every
song musically and vocally. It was a Reunion Concert for the ages. The
Commandos at the State Fair sounded like and ordinary band. There was no magic or
electricity in their show. They definitely were "loud and fast"! I realize they
are like the "Holy Grail" of Punk so some fans are put off by any criticism
about them.
So are you saying the Suicide Commandos are a better band then the
Raspberries? How does Chris Osgood measure up to Eric Carmen vocally in 2007? How does
Osgood's lead guitar match up with Wally Bryson's in 2007?

I'm not sure how having 3 lead singers is a weakness? Maybe you didn't
like the other twos vocals? I find that to be a strength of many bands
that do per allowing for more variety. I certainly think it's a bonus
with the Commandos. Just my take.
If your complaint is that they sounded to 1976....I have to ask...what
era did the Raspberries Reunion show sound like? I don't know that punk
from one era is more dated then power pop from an earlier era. Just
saying...
