I'm listening to the latest Well Wishers cd (Jeff Shelton from Spinning Jennies), picked up at IPO. Sounds great on the first listen. A lot of it sounds Spinning Jennies-esque. Then there's "Resistance is Futile", which sounds as if it could have come off a Cosmic Roughriders album. I'll post about other cd's I picked up at IPO once I listen to them. At IPO I learned that I've been missing out on a lot of good local music.

The new VHS or Beta sounds really good, too. They have moved away from the disco/funk thing but maintained their multi-guitar sound and driving beat I love. I think their sound has evolved into something more likable to power pop fans.

I also like the new Imperial Teen songs. Haven't picked up the cd yet. But I did pick up the Hey Willpower full length CD (Will Schwartz's electronic dance pop project).
