@@@@@ The Minnesota State Fair is just about EXACTLY the same as it was
when I was a kid. This fact is not a knock, it's actually kind of
oddly comforting. Anyway, one of the main things that grows every year
is what can be eatten on a stick. You name it and if it's weight can be
held up via a stick, you'll find it. We tend to go early to beat some
of the crowd. Which means pronto pups and fresh dairy made malts for
breakfast. Yum.

*****From the photos in the paper it looked like all three of the
original members. Two member's looking slightly older and Chris Osgood
looking about the same as ever. I guess that's one advantage of looking
50 when you're 25. :)
I've heard the Commando's are playing other places again around town
too. I may miss the Fair show but catch them live at a small club. I
saw them 10 years ago at an outdoor show and they sounded as fresh as
ever. Back like the day's at the long gone Longhorn.

God, I hope they reissue their work. I also wish they would
reissue "Big Hits of Mid America" which featured great unreleased
tracks by them, The Suburbs, NRBQ (does anyone remember this band?),
Curtis A and more.
