Minor Rhett Miller tangent here - I've read a lot of reviews (along
with Sarah's post) that talk about the string arrangement on that
song, but I would swear it's just a chamberlin. Usually, I trust my
chamberlin-recognizing skills (and my string-recognizing ones, for
that matter), but the fact that I'm the only person I've encountered
who hears it that way is making me wonder: am I on crack?
(I realize I could just ask the likely chamberlin perpetrator, but I
guarantee you I will never, ever remember to do so when the
opportunity is there.)
