Hey Pop Fans:
How would you like to see Fountains of Wayne FREE! Sunday August 26th at the
Minnesota State Fair Grandstand - St. Paul, MN. The main act Joan Jett and
the Blackhearts canceled their Concert for that night. Fountains of Wayne were
2nd on the bill. The Suicide Commandos will open. Commandos are a neat 70's
punk band from Minneapolis that recently regrouped. Look for a Great Set from
FOW with many songs from their new album: Traffic and Weather. Plus a bunch
of old classic's like "Radiation Vibe", "Denise" "Red Dragon Tattoo" and
"Mexican Wine". Their show at 1st Avenue in June was Fantastic.
Actually you have to buy gate admission to get into the Minnesota State
Fair. But there is no additional charge for the Grandstand Concert. FYI: Def
Leppard, Foreigner and Styx fetch a hefty $54.00 +fees a ticket. Cmon who would
you rather see? Fountains of Wayne plus you'll have plenty of $$$ leftover for
Beer and Fair food. Show time is 8:00pm; gates open at 6:30pm and seats are
first come first served. Here's hoping Minnesota Fans pack the Grandstand for
the Best Band at the Fair in 2007!
