"Simply" by Sara Hickman (from Equal Scary People.) Just a beautiful true love song without being treacly.
Springsteen's "If I Should Fall Behind"
Prince's "Forever In My Life" from Sign 'O the Times is bitchin'.
And Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell doing "You're All I Need to Get By," well, need I say more?

Hey everybody,
3 weeks from tonight, I'm going to be proposing to my girlfriend. She
doesn't know about it, but luckily we've been talking about getting married from
the start (almost 2 yaers ago) and at least I know she's going to say yes..
I'm doing it at the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater in L.A., which is one
of our favorite places, with the help of one of our favorite comedians,
Charlyne Yi (she made her film debut in Knocked Up this year). After the proposal,
she's going to play a slideshow of all of our photos that I've put
together. The problem is that I need a good song that fits the mood, and I have to
be able to trim it to about 60-90 seconds. We have a lot of mutual favorite
songs, but they don't seem to be working, and most of them have nothing to do
with love or marriage.. A more well-known track would probably be the best..
Does anyone have any ideas? I've got to get the slideshow to Charlyne about
a week before, which gives me another 2 weeks to get it ready.
Thanks!
Arthur
