I've worked in web for about 10 years now, and while not foolproof, there
are a lot of techniques to ensure that bands with common word names do get
better placement in search engines. It doesn't happen overnight, but if you
keep at it, you can beat out the porn sites and stud farms and get better
placement by using various marketing and programming techniques.
