My daughter, who is now 2 years old, has taken to spinning around the room
whenever there's music playing.and, recently, she's started to put on the
apron from her kitchen play-set before beginning her spinning, and then
declare herself to be a "bal'rina."
So, of course, I immediately asked her if she was a pretty ballerina.and
when she said "yes," I promptly put on Jason Falkner's cover of the Left
Banke song of the same name.
As soon as she heard him sing the words "pretty ballerina," she gave me the
biggest, sweetest grin, and her feet began to fly more quickly than I think
I've ever seen them.
That was yesterday.and, since then, she has asked me no less than half a
dozen times, "Play 'Pretty Bal'rina' song!!!"
