Hey all, here is a question that I was contemplating while watching Gene
Simmons' Family Jewels on tv today with my friend Charlie (he is Korean).
Anyway, I liked Kiss (still do) although I was never a fan of Gene Simmons
as a person. His show is actually decent and he comes across as a lot more
likeable than I ever imagined. Well, watching the show, my Korean friend
Charlie asked me.."Why did Kiss become famous and the NY Dolls didn't become
famous?..It wasn't that Kiss was more talented than the Dolls"
So I thought it about for a while and I have to admit that my Asian friend
is correct. It was not talent that made Kiss more successful than the Dolls.
Not that the Dolls were necessarily more talented than the Dolls but I don't
think it was talent alone that made one better than the other. Was it luck?
focus? more professional attitude? less drugs?
Help out me and my friend Charlie- this Korean guy I know
gabriel
