Got to call bullshit on that one. Physical Graffiti #1, with Houses of the Holy a close second. Page's work on 'Song Remains the Same' is stupendous, and âOver the Hills and Far Awayâ will be a radio favorite after weâre all dead and gone. Iâll always take âThe Crungeâ over âDazed and Confusedâ (wake me when itâs overâ¦yawn). 'The Ocean' is a fantastic finale.
Hell, Iâll take In Through the Out Door over the first one. Theyâre completely seasoned, confident, and Plant is in great voice. And you get the rare occasion of JP Jones making a tremendous contribution (in effect, being the bandâs MD) while Page recovered from his heroin addiction. If you look at the credits, Plant didnât write a note on LZ I.
ITTOD is fantastic and vastly under rated album.
Whereâs that confounded bridge??
