Sorry, that got cut off.. I use it not only for backing up music, but also
for sharing songs as well. The biggest thing I used it for was last year when
my girlfriend got a new computer and we wanted an easy way to transfer the
songs on her old computer to the new one. Since she didn't have anything on
her hard drive that wasn't on the ipod, we just hooked the ipod up to the new
computer and transferred everything over. It can automatically put the songs
into folders by artist/album/etc.
Basically you copy the sharepod.exe to your ipod hard drive and run it from
there. It then lets you access it no matter what computer you take it to.
