Bob - sorry I'm writing via Audities but I can't find your email address - if you remember I sent you a copy of the Keepin a Secret 45 a couple of years back, sure you remember that :-). Anyway, I'm reved up to finally have Butters on CD and to finally have the mono version but I have a question. The recording sounds really odd to me (in an appealing way), perhaps it's just very compressed? Is that the way the master tape sounds? There is literally no tape noise on it and it comes across as extremely tight, if you get my meaning. The only thing I find disappointing is that the mastering is so loud that it distorts at times (not a fan of loud CDs but I know that's the trend these days). But otherwise I'm curious to hear your thoughts on how that was recorded and how it came out sounding on CD.

Everyone, buy this CD. It's just an amazing album and one of the best Rev-Ola's ever. Everything, down to the label, is perfect about the CD. Great job by Steve Stanley. It took a while to get out but it checks off one of my favorite albums getting one CD. Perhaps my favorite US 60s album of all time.

PS Bob, now we need Wack 'N Roll!
