Drew, Without hesitation ,my recommendation would be Brighter and Field Mice. Both groups have nice re-issues available. For Field Mice I would go with "Snowball" the LTM release that combines their very first album with their early singles,17 tracks. There are 2 other cd's in that series, but those early songs will give you the best feel for Sarah. Brighter has 2 compilations on the excellent Matinee label. The "Singles 1989-1992" would be the best pick.Great jangly guitars and lyrics. Keris Howard's vocals should be addictive and on key. You can't go wrong with these 2 ,easily available[Darla is one source].And much more to expore after those, including current music being made from members of those groups[Trembling Blue Stars and Harper Lee]. Let us know what you think.
