You are correct. It was co-written with Lukasz "Doctor Luke" Gottwald. It's 
anyone's guess as to how that co-write credit is divided in terms of 
percentages and/or input by Lavigne.

Yep. Segarini and I know a very famous songwriting team who penned Roxette's 
"The Look" for that band's EMI America debut album. But the wheelers and 
dealers behind the scenes wanted Roxette to be perceived as a hitmaking 
machine from Sweden (it would play well in the press that they could be the 
first significant musical export since ABBA) and so it was decided that the 
male half of the duo, Per Gessle, would be the designated songwriter on ALL 
the songs. Truth was...the act barely had enough material to complete their 
second album (the first in North America) and some outside songs were 
solicited. The Canadian husband and wife team responsible for Heart's "What 
About Love" submitted "The Look" and were paid a handsome sum to relinquish 
all future rights to the tune and a gag order for ten years following the 
album's release. Well the ten years expired some time ago and at least one 
half of the songwriting team is looking at reclaiming the rights to the 
song.
