Why are we all assuming, at face value, that SHE WROTE THE SONG? Her
name may be on it, but it seems like we established early on that she
was a product of The Matrix and some other songsmiths. Correct me if I'm
wrong, but I could write a song and sell all rights to it, including
authorship claims, right? I've had talented and well-informed industry
insiders explain to me that this happens all the time.
I'm not saying she didn't write it, but I'm saying there could be a
whole lot more going on here than we know. And the more that's going on
behind the curtain, the more certain a settlement to make it go away
becomes.
