Holy crap.
Saw an advanced showing Monday night for this.
I had zero reference going in to this (never watched the original show but I
do recall a nephew playing with the toys). My kid wanted to go and the
expectation of a Michael Bay/Speilberg team-up seemed like a match made in
hell.
Instead, it was 2 hours, 15 minutes of big, stupid explosions, car chases,
comedy, cool cars, cool trucks, decent acting and zero plot.
Incredible popcorn movie. Gonna go back and see it again......there was so
much action I missed some stuff from my stage left side of the screen.
