This is the first I have heard of the Nilsson film.Is it new? Since I am

***"Who is Harry Nilsson (and Why Is Everyone Talking About Him)" has
been playing the festival circuit on the west coast for maybe a year and
a half now.
It was done by David Leaf and John Scheinfeld, the same pair who did
last fall's "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" and the Grammy-nominted
"Beautiful Dreamer" about the "Smile" album. (Leaf also wrote the liner
notes to the Pet Sounds box set.)
When the Nilsson doc screened in Santa Monica last year it was too a
packed house.
I interviewed the filmmakers in September at the time of the Lennon
film, and Scheinfeld said they hoped to piggyyback on the success of the
Lennon doc to get some limited theatrical release for the Nilsson film.
That didn't happen. So the only way to see the film right now is when it
plays in festivals.
