Subject McCartney show at Amoeba (Was More Lefsetz ...)

I've read the full Lefsetz column on the Amoeba Records show and am
still trying to figure out if it was meant as a big joke or not.

As Amoeba is a 15 minute walk from where I live, I went by last night.
While not fortunate enough to get inside the store, I did stand at a
window at Sunset and Cahuenga that provided clear views of the stage
area (save for a support column that blocked McCartney from time to
time). There were about 20 or so other people standing there as well. We
were able to hear at least eight songs rather clearly - five Beatles
(Get Back, Back in the USSR, Let it Be, I've Got a Feeling, and Hey
Jude), two from the new album (Nod Your Head and House of Wax), and a
cover of "Matchbox." It was what it was.

Yes, Ringo was there. But he left during Hey Jude. (And some in the
crown confused his wife Barbara Bach with Catherine Bach, aka Daisy Duke
of the Dukes of Hazzard).

Olivia Harrison was there. And Jeff Lynne. Tom Petty was rumored to be
in the audience as well. I saw Woody Harrelson drive out from the
parking garage with Alanis Morissette.

About 40 people or so waited (along with the professional paparazzi) for
McCartney to leave. All my pictures show is his blurry hand from the
back of his Town Car as it pulled away from the store.

>Yup, Ringofuckingstarr. With his cropped hair and sunglasses. Barbara Bach at his side. Smiling like he's in the sequel of "A Hard Day's Night".

When we all had short hair and loved to play baseball and suddenly "I Want To Hold Your Hand" came over the radio and our lives changed...FOREVER!
