Pure Pop radio is back!
I have ended my live, Sunday afternoon Pure Pop show on WEBR. The reasons
are many and varied, my desire to do the show from home at times that make
it easier for people to listen right at the top of the list. To that end,
beginning in early August, I will be once again be broadcasting a live Pure
Pop show once a week. I'll be announcing the day and time in July, both here
and at purepopradio.com and buhdge.
In the meantime, Pure Pop 24/7, the all day and all-of-the-night mix of the
greatest melodic pop from the sixties through today, in big-time widescreen
96 kbps stereo, is back on the air after two weeks or so of off-the-air
maintenance and moving the station to a different computer. To listen, go to

buhdge will soon be undergoing some long-overdue maintenance, but the site
will continuing running as usual as the dust settles. Stay tuned for more
reviews, articles and archive interviews from the long history of the Pure
Pop radio show.
On a related note, I hope to keep Pure Pop 24/7 going for a long time to
come. The virtual end of Internet radio is still hovering over folks like me
like a black cloud, but there is a strong chance that webcasters will
prevail. Hopefully, the Internet Radio Equality Act will pass in both the
House and Senate. In the event that the bills, which have strong support,
are not voted on before the July 15 deadline, it is hoped that the stay that
seeks to keep the current royalty structures in place until votes are taken
will be accepted. Cross your fingers for all webcasters, please!
