Thanks for the review. Sounds really good, and I'm liking Almost better and
better with each listen.
However, I cannot agree with your Chaos bashing at all. Chaos is a damn fine
record. The sound and production is superb, the melodies are beautiful
throughout -maybe with one exception (Vanity Fair). How could any Macca fan
dismiss the cheerful joy of Fine Line, the totally Blackbirdian, but still
different, wonderful Jenny Wren. The crafty and beautifully complicated How
Kind Of You and At The Mercy.... Friends to Go, English Tea, Follow Me, all
of them are memorable, catchy tunes, and Promise To You Girl (arguably my
favorite song of Chaos) sounds like a lost A+ Wings song with an
irresistible coda.
I've listened to Almost quite enough now to say that I am starting to like
it a lot, but Chaos is no slouch, definitely.

On the other hand, it's funny to read so many people trashing Paul's work
from whole decades in a place like Audities, as if it was suddenly cool to
think like that. Apart from his occasional "deviations" from pure pop music,
I can always find memorable stuff in each one of his records, from his
entire career (OK, Driving Rain is a tough one..).

have a beautiful night you all!

yes, I finally got the deluxe version, but had only a sandwich for lunch
