My girlfriend and I drove up to San Francisco last December to see Passing
Strange at Berkeley. It was simply amazing! One of the greatest things I've
ever witnessed. She had never seen him perform live before, because he's only
been doing club shows in NY the last few years.
Me, I'm just hoping to get some new recorded music soon. He's been promising
a new Sweetboot CD from his site for awhile. The only thing that he's
released since the last CD came out (2004 I think?) is "Gary's Song" from Spongebob
Squarepants and "Broadway" from the new Clash tribute album.
But he posts on his mailing list and said that they're also getting ready to
record a CD of Passing Strange soon. I've been dying to hear those songs
again! Definitely check it out in NY if you have the chance. We were
planning on trying to fly there to see it again but couldn't make it happen.

For folks who still enjoy print media, it's in the issue with Tony Soprano
on the cover. I meant to post a mention here, as I saw it last week. If
anyone gets a chance to see the show, I'd love to hear some feedback here.
It sounds like he's still working with Heidi Rodewald who is the musical
supervisor for the show. I was always a fan, but whatever he does, I will
always adore Stew, as our own Adam Marsland along with my wife and brother
somehow managed to persuade him to play my 40th birthday a few years ago,
here at a public park near Eugene, OR. Now that was a show.
