Apparently I'm of an extreme minority opinion about this --
and perhaps I should just keep my opinion to myself.

The thing is, it rankles me a little when the recording artist
says "record labels are dying, their ideas are boring, etc."
and "I decided to go a different way," when, in fact, as in
McCartney's situation, he's going about it the SAME EXACT
way, working with a label that is just selling the CDs the same
way as ever, but managing to make it seem like he's doing
something different. And all he really did was go for a deal
that earned him more money up front -- and of course he's
not saying that, but that's essentially the only difference.

To me, it's a little bit dishonest to run down major label
record companies, (and hey, I'm sensitive because I work
at one) and then turn around and do a deal where you end
up getting your album released by a major label record
company.

But that's it from me on the subject. Let's go back to talking
about whatever it is we're usually talking about on this list...

Bryan
