I never knew the connection with Carnival Season. When I was going to law
school in Philly in the early 90s, someone dropped off a whole box of promo
cassette singles from Carnival Season (Enjoy the Ride was the album, I seem
to remember). The tune was pretty good, but I never saw the album anywhere
and, in fact, never really heard of the band again until now.
On a somewhat related note, if you like the Shame Idols and the Lolas, I
highly recommend searching out the following, which are cut from the same
cloth: the Yum Yums, the Pyramidiacs and the Chevelles (not to be confused
with Chevelle).
