Speaking of which, I don't think anyone's ever mentioned the band that 
provides the theme song for that show (probably the best-written 
sitcom on the air, incidentally), The Solids:

The song, "Hey Beautiful," is one of the better straight power pop 
tunes I've heard in quite some time.  And rather than have to license 
their song to a TV show, the Solids took the more direct route of 
making a TV show to go with their song: the creative core of the band 
is singer/guitarist Carter Bays and drummer Craig Thomas, who created 
and executive-produce the series.

Naturally, they're also behind that instant classic previously 
discussed on the list, Robin Sparkles' minor Canadian hit from 1993, 
"Let's Go To The Mall":
