"Obvious," perhaps, but it also shines a painful spotlight on how truly 
awful SNL has become, and long been, limping along with only brief forays 
into actual humor once in every blue moon. Would that the whole enterprise 
could be devoured by said shark -- with Loren Michaels receiving the most 
painful gnashing.
