Actually, my memory is that "Letter From An Occupant" and "New Slang"
were pretty contemporaneous: Sub Pop released "New Slang" as a single
several months before the album came out. Of course, I don't think
anyone outside of Albuquerque heard it then...heck, it didn't become a
radio hit until the GARDEN STATE soundtrack!

Hm...those two for sure, "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz, "Fell In Love
With A Girl" by the White Stripes, "Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old
Girl" by Broken Social Scene...dozens, actually. More than I have
time to think of, unfortunately.
