Not only does that sound like a blast, but you couldn't have done a much
better job on picking the songs to play!
OK, for all of us not residing in Australia, any chance of posting
some/all of the songs for us to hear and enjoy???

Hi gang..
I thought some of you may be interested in this..
I recently had the hair brained idea to start a powerpop tribute band. I
didn't know whether it had been done before here in Australia, and
thought
it'd be fun. I had been given a night to book for my band at a great
venue
here on a no pressure Tuesday night, so we essentially put together this
band to headline this gig.. (the MC band supported). The band consists
of
me, Eddie Owen (ex-Pyramidiacs), Bill Gibson
(ex-Pyramidiacs/Lemonheads/Eastern Dark), Jadey O'Regan (Jane Vs World)
and
Casey Atkins (ex-The Reservations).
Anyway, i thought some of you Auditeers might be interested in the
setlist
from our highly successful first gig tonight. A smorgasboard of
powerpop!!
And even better, we got offered a monthly residency, so we get to expand
our
reperoire to 3 sets in the next few months.
Sure.. it may not be groundbreaking or change the face of modern music..
but
man, it was fun, and the audience seemed to LOVE hearing all these songs
in
one place. IPO 2008 here we come!! :-)
