Jaimie you clearly have the advantage over me on the view of e-music from a
label owner's perspective, and I respect this. However, from my
purchase/download perspective, I'm with Stewart. My monthly download level
is modest in comparison - 65, with the occasional booster pack, but if I'm
particularly struck by an album, I will then buy the CD.

Some examples have been The Format, Midlake, Junior Boys, The National, Cold
War Kids, Cracker, Hail Social, Neko Case, The Hold Steady.

I consider e-music to be a key part of my "new discovery" music purchase
decision making, along with this discussion list, Uncut, Mojo, All Music,
mySpace, etc. I use iTunes for the very occasional purchase of single
tracks, where I really would not consider an album purchase. I would rarely
think to consult iTunes on what was new and cutting edge, rather what was
being pushed by the major labels.

In fact, it's great to read a glowing review of an indie act in Uncut, and
find that e-music has it.

Any decline or demise in e-music will be sorely felt by me.

Mike.
