I'm not wanting to stir the pot but more comment on it. As a consumer
I didn't get the vibe describe by a few either that took umbrage with
Jamie or Adam. I thought Jamie's posts were very insightful but, yes
kind of depressing, but I didn't think he was pointing fingers as
some "consumers" seemed to take it. In fact, I thought he was quite
clear about explaining his interpretation of what was happening in
the music industry and with emusic specifically and HIS decisions as
a label owner. But, I didn't once her him tell ME not use emusic or
that it was all OUR fault. I also thought Adam's intent and reaction
seemed clear and not "whining" as was suggested.
Now I've certainly misunderstood other's intentions on this list
before and gotten lost in my own interpretation of what I thought was
intended and then gone way off stream with it. Maybe I missed
something this time. But in general, misinterpeting things seems to
be the nature of email chatter when it get's on potentially touchy
subjects.
Anyway, Jamie made reference to Simon Cole earlier and I'll just
add in Randy's voice assessing Jamie's posts on the subject...
"Dog! You brought your A game tonight! It was kind of a bluesy
number but dude you brought it home".
