We have a party rule with my music friends - when we are hanging out
listening to tunes - if you request something that the person does not
own you have to throw in a buck and then the search for the song
ensues - usually from iTunes - actually the only iTunes tracks I own
are from this method. The the host gets to keep the song of course -
for cleaning up. And when the 'rule' started - it was "well if we
were in a bar and that song was in the juke you'd pony up in a second
- just to hear a few notes buried in the din of 200 loudmouths."
