Well....I do what I do. These days I'm reacting less emotionally to these
things and just having level headed debates (I can thank Segarini and his
weekly round-table dinner chats with various musical cognicenti for that!).
I believe this has been one of the most enlightening threads I've ever read
on this list. Everyone has contributed with decorum and respect. The mud
slinging has been reduced to zero and people have been presenting absolutely
convincing positions on both sides of this debate.
Glad I've stuck around all these years. I think, deep down, we all come from
the same place....we just get defensive when our territory is being impinged
either as consumers or musicians or industry folk. Call me a geek, but I'll
defend music (and its relative merits) as if my life depended on it. Oh,
wait....it does.
